DUBLIN, TEXAS

This project involved the design of a sand and manure solids separation system for a 3,500 cow dairy near Dublin, TX. The free stall barns on-site are flushed regularly to a sand settling channel. This channel is designed to capture recycled sand bedding from the cow stalls, while keeping manure solids in suspension. After this sand capture, flush water flows to a series of settling basins, which capture manure solids. Agricultural Engineering Associates designed the system to be low maintenance, durable, and provide haulable low-moisture manure solids for land application. The project is detailed in an article in Manure Manager Magazine:   No Weeping Over this System
